I am a Research Scientist 2 at Adobe Research in San Jose, CA, working on computer vision and graphics — image generation, editing, enhancement, restoration, and computer-aided digital art creation.

I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Rochester in 2023, advised by Prof. Jiebo Luo.

Intelligent Object Removal

As first author and original contributor, I built the image inpainting technology behind Adobe's object-removal features.

Seamless Generative Editing

As first author and original contributor, I built the local-refinement technology that blends generative edits seamlessly into the original image.

  • Generative Fill / Generative Expand — Photoshop / Firefly. My CM-GAN model powered the 2023 launch; my PixPerfect refiner powers the updated Generative Fill / Expand model in 2024 · 2025 · 2026.

High-Resolution Image Upscaling

As project lead, I led the high-resolution upsampling and restoration technology behind Adobe's next-generation upscaler.
